Directions to Fort Ord East Garrison

From Hwy 1:


PLEASE SEE NEW DIRECTIONS FOR FT ORD RACE VENUE- RESERVATION RD. ENTRANCE TO EAST GARRISON IS NO LONGER BEING USED.

  • From Hwy 1 North of Monterey, or heading South toward Monterey take the "Lightfighter" Exit, located just north of Seaside and south of Marina.
  • Take the Lightfighter exit off of Hwy 1 and continue straight thru 2 stop lights approx. 1/2 mile.
  • At the third stop light turn right onto Gen. Jim Moore Blvd. Take Gen. Jim Moore Blvd for 1/4 mile.
  • At the first stop light turn left onto Gigling Rd. Go straight on Gigling Rd.
  • Continue on Gigling Rd. for approx. 1/4 mile until you reach a Stop Sign with the giant DOD Building on your right.
  • Turn right at Stop Sign into DOD Building parking area. There will be CCCX directional signs for parking.
  • Parking and Registration will be in the large parking lot of the DOD Building.
  • The Start/Finish area will be placed at the end of Gigling Road, on Eight Ave. Cut off Road.
  • The Course & Start/Finish area is 1/2 of a mile away from parking and registration, and there is no car access for the Start/Finish area.
  • So please park near registration and ride or walk to the race course area.
